About me
I am a Doctoral candidate at Cornell University's Department of Government, in the International Relations subfield. I am also a Fellow at the Cornell Brooks School Tech Policy Institute. My research explores the implications of emerging technologies on international relations, with a particular focus on AI, surveillance, and ‘smart city’ technologies. My work has been published in the Oxford Handbook of AI Governance, Journal of Peace Research, Canadian Foreign Policy Journal, and Harvard Business Review. I received a Doctoral grant from the Department of National Defense Mobilizing Insights in Defence and Security (MINDS) Scholarship Initiative and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada to support my dissertation research.

Born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, I hold an MA in Government from Cornell University, an MA in Public and International Affairs from the University of Ottawa, and a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Conflict Studies and Human Rights (summa cum laude) from the University of Ottawa.
